CREATOR. COLLABORATOR. VISIONARY.

I discovered a love for architecture and interiors through an untraditional path. After obtaining a liberal arts degree in Film Studies from the University of California, Santa Barbara, it was a residential new-build project I developed with my partner in in Malibu, California that ignited my curiosity in the process.

It wasn't long before I went back to school and received my Interior Design certification from the University of California, Los Angeles. I spent my early career studying under hospitality veterans at Hirsch Bender & Associates, working on large scale projects such as The Mandarin Hotel in Shanghai and the famous Ambani Residence in Mumbai.

From there, I became part of the Hillstone Restaurant Group's internal design team where I served as the sole interior designer for 50+ locations nationwide, and worked alongside a team of in-house architects, construction managers, and art experts to develop new restaurant concepts for the company’s ever-evolving portfolio of eateries. Hillstone’s intimate and hands-on approach is where I gained invaluable knowledge about how spaces are constructed, and had the freedom to explore, or perhaps more accurately - obsess - over the details that make a space warm and transcendent.

I worked on everything from conceptual design and installation on new construction projects, custom furniture and lighting development, finish sourcing and selections, as well as countless renovation projects. These projects fostered my highly collaborative approach to execution with top builders, makers, and artisans. It was also here that I developed a love for scouring auction houses and galleries, hunting down works to add to the establishment’s collection of functional and fine art.

More recently, I served as interim Director of Design & Construction for Los Angeles-based boutique studio, Avenue Interior Design. During my tenure, I led development efforts for the Themed Suites remodel at The Palms Casino Resort, meticulous detailing five unique concepts and overseeing construction documentation and administration with a team of CAD experts and designers. The Themed Suites were unveiled in 2018 alongside two sister suites designed by the Rockwell Group.

In addition to my work in Interior Design, I am natural-born entrepreneur. In 2014, I founded cycling apparel brand, Machines For Freedom, a brand known for reaching a long overlooked consumer and refreshing a stagnant industry. The brand was sold to global leader, Specialized Bicycle Components, in 2018. I also manage a personal real estate portfolio consisting of single and multi-family properties and love seeking out overlooked gems in quickly growing markets.
