CURATING COMFORT

Located just off Rodeo Drive is a warm hideaway called the Honor Bar. While the space is intentionally low-key, don't be surprised if you find a celebrity or two escaping the hustle and bustle for a post-shopping cocktail, or high-rolling businessmen hunched over their iPhones for a bite to eat. This decidedly understated establishment is meant to provide a contrast to the more formal eateries in the neighborhood. But a lack of flash should not be mistook for a lack of quality. Custom furnishings, inspired by Italian and Brazilian makers of the 20th century, infuse the space with first-rate craftsmanship.

HOLLYWOOD NOSTALGIA

This space was designed with comfort and ease in mind. A weighty bar built entirely of walnut anchors the space. Bar-height butcher block tables line a modern brick wall making it easy for groups of friends to grab a stool and crowd around a table for happy hour. And the sizzling sounds coming off the cooktop feel as familiar as your favorite local diner. But perhaps my favorite part are the painted copper pendants that punctuate the bar; custom made to make everyone's complexion look paparazzi-ready.
